I really have no idea what I am doing, but here goes nothing. I guess over the course of time I will have a little to say about this and that. Most of what I have to say will have to do with Midway Road Baptist Church (MRBC) or what is happening in the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC). Some things I do want to share, but not necessarily in this order, are: Our Lottie Moon Christmas Offering at MRBC, the Great Commission Resurgence Committee (GCRC) in the SBC, my thoughts about supporting Foreign (International) Missions.
I was born Southern Baptist and I plan on moving up to Heaven as one. I am a firm believer in the Cooperative Program. I learned about it as a young boy and I feel that the Cooperative Program helped to bring about my salvation. I will have to share my testimony on that in the near future. I feel that the Cooperative Program is the best missions program in the world. We Southern Baptists have something unique and we need to support it. I will have more to say about this when I do my blog on the GCRC.
The comments you read in this blog are my thoughts and not necessarily that of MRBC. One thing I will say, and I know MRBC feels the same, we are blessed to have Dr. John Sullivan leading our Florida Baptist Convention. Dr. Sullivan will be in Fort Pierce on Sunday, March 21st, at 11 AM and 6 PM to preach the opening services of our Annual Campmeeting. Services on Monday through Thursday are at 7 PM.
I have said enough for my first blog. Keeping checking back because I do not even know when I might be inspired to write again.
